Progress on Vinton Street mural

We have 11 of 17 windows painted. We used an XIM UMA primer and Sher-cryl and Sher-clear marine paint to paint these prior to installation. It is the grocery store at 18th and Vinton. We met with Jose and Linda Garcia of the Mexican American Historical Society to get feedback on our imagery. We are painting inside and the glass is installed after we paint it, a few at a time.

In one of these pictures Gerardo Vasquez is seen. He has stepped in as our newest artist while Mike Giron painted his mural at Creighton University. Gerardo has been a great help! He is a student at UNO, and a native of Mexico.

Rebecca Harrison has lead Pam Conyers-Hinson and Girardo to finishing the 32+ indoor canvases for Vinton while I have been working mostly with Jerimiah Neal and Mike Giron on the exterior work.
